This post is about a fantastic social media marketing campaign I was just reviewing. A 2011 use by Diesel with QR Codes and Facebook.  This is surely one of the most impressive ways of gaining promotion through social networking sites I have seen recently. Diesel used Facebook as the tool for this success story. With Diesel being a major fashion brand, they had customers scan QR codes in their stores for particular products, which directed them to a Facebook page where they could click ‘Like’.  By clicking the Like Button, this brought them to lists of other similar items, which ultimately reached wider audiences and boosted the possibility of increased volume and add-on sales in their stores. Taking advantage of Facebook and mobile marketing in combination in such an innovative way led this to be one of the best social media campaigns of 2011 in my opinion.
